Online questionnaire on Ecosystem Services and Poverty Alleviation
Aim: To produce a survey-based quantitative analysis article exploring the confusion and disagreements that drive debates about ecosystem services and poverty. For further details on the research project see: https://ecosystemservicesandpovertydebates.wordpress.com
Hypothesis: We hypothesise that there are different epistemic communities undertaking ESPA research, each with their own set of definitions, metrics, values and approaches towards governance and action. This has resulted in a fractured debate about the outcomes of using ES for PA, the remaining research gaps and an approach for going forward.
Outcome: This quantitative survey project will test our hypothesis and provide a quantitative analysis on the belief and knowledge systems of these different epistemic communities and explore where the sources of confusion and/or conflict lie and to what extent these confusions/conflicts are important within the debate surrounding ES for PA.
This survey consists of 7 sections and should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete. We thank you in advance for your help and support with our research in taking the time to answer these questions. We intend to close the questionnaire on the 31st July.
