The Oxford Sustainable Finance Group, based in the prestigious Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at the University of Oxford, is expanding its team with six new positions in nature finance and investment.
Who We Are
The Oxford Sustainable Finance Group is dedicated to advancing research, teaching, and practice in sustainable finance. Our mission is to bridge the gap between finance and environmental conservation to drive positive global change.
With the support of the Leverhulme Centre for Nature Recovery at Oxford and MISTRA FinBio hosted by the Stockholm Resilience Centre, we are committed to exploring innovative solutions that will shape the future of nature finance.
There will also be connectivity to the UK Centre for Greening Finance and Investment.
Opportunities

- Executive Director: As a senior team member, the Executive Director will play a key role in establishing a new groundbreaking research program and teaching in nature finance and investment. This is a unique opportunity to drive change at a global level.
- Three-Year Career Development Fellowships in Nature Finance: We offer three fellowships to early career researchers wishing to embark on a high-impact career in academia or the private, public, or third sectors. Each fellowship will be tailored to the successful candidate, providing them with the necessary support and resources to excel in their chosen path. After completing the fellowship, candidates will be well-positioned to secure prominent permanent positions in academia or beyond.
- Research Assistant Posts in Nature Finance: Additionally, we have two research assistant positions available. These positions are an excellent opportunity for those considering pursuing a doctoral degree. Working closely with our team, research assistants will contribute to our ongoing projects and gain valuable experience in the field of nature finance.
