We are excited to share a funded PhD opportunity through the University of Vermont’s (UVM) Institute for Agroecology (IfA). This position offers the chance to engage in cutting-edge research on the broad and impactful topic of transformative agroecology.
The selected candidate will join our dynamic L4E community, participating in coursework, retreats, and lab meetings, and will actively contribute to advancing our vision of a sustainable, just, and thriving ecological future.
The position will be embedded in ongoing projects at the UVM Institute for Agroecology, with research being conducted in Vermont, North America, Latin America, West Africa, Europe, and Southern and East Africa. As part of their academic journey, the selected student will be required to complete the Certificate of Graduate Study in Agroecology, providing them with a solid foundation in transformative agroecology and participatory-transdisciplinary research methodologies.
The position will be funded through Leadership for the Ecozoic, the 11th Hour Project and the University of Vermont.
