The successful candidate will be an economist housed in Economics and will also be a Core Faculty member of the Environmental Studies Department. Evaluation, promotion, and tenure will be conducted in the Economics Department. The annual teaching load is five courses (four in the first year), and this new colleague will annually teach Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, either Intermediate Microeconomics or Intermediate Macroeconomics, and one Environmental Studies course as well as mentoring Environmental Studies students’ senior research projects. All candidates must have completed their PhD by June 30th, 2024. The degree must be in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Ecological Economics, or a related area.
The successful candidate will demonstrate both a currently active research program and the potential to develop an active scholarship program. To support the faculty’s teaching and scholarship, the College provides start-up funds, has internal funding sources to support research and teaching and assists faculty efforts to secure external funding for research and teaching support.
