Footprint Forum 2010

June 7-10, 2010| COLLE DI VAL D’ELSA, ITALY

Meet the Winners of the 21st Century

In this highly interactive Forum, we will explore opportunities for advancing sustainability in the post-Copenhagen world. Given the persistent challenge of reaching meaningful international agreements, there has never been a greater need for governments to recognize their self-interest in preparing for a future with tightening resource constraints. We believe there are new, unforeseen opportunities for action that can deliver significant benefits for cities, nations and regions. How to take advantage of these opportunities and implement them at the needed speed and scale is the focus of Footprint Forum 2010.

Many countries around the world have started to run ecological deficits, making diminished availability of biocapacity a universal concern. At the Forum, we will address all nations’ opportunities and will also focus on how human development and international development cooperation can succeed in a time of severe resource constraints.

The Forum has a number of components, including Forum Roundtables held from June 7th through 9th with limited participation spots. The Roundtables will be conducted in a fast-paced format where all participants will contribute and extract key findings. We have designed the Forum to inspire the kind of innovative thinking and meaningful action that is aligned with the goal of transforming our economies into ones that work with, rather than against nature. We are certain that you will reap valuable insights and make new connections among peers from other regions, which will help you advance your work.

This is not a forum to rehash old thinking or traditional strategies; rather, it is designed to move our sustainability work to the next level of effectiveness and scale. For this reason, we believe this forum might be critical to your work.

More information about the Forum is included below and on our website at Footprint Forum: Meet the Winners of the 21st Century. To register, visit www.acteva.com/go/FootprintForum2010. Register by March 31, 2010 to receive discounted Early Bird pricing!
