The International Society for Ecological Economics operates in accordance with a Constitution, and a set of Bylaws, adopted by its members. All officers are elected or appointed by the elected Board. The Board consists of the President, Past-President, President-Elect and ten additional board members, plus two Student Representative board members.
The Board meets by Zoom monthly. From 2021, elections will be held annually to elect five of the ten board members. All terms are two years, except for in 2022, when five board members will be up for election after having served one year only.
